Almost no North Carolina mill publishes what it charges; this one posts an open per-board-foot price list - cedar 4/4 at $3.75 dropping to $3.50 over 500 board feet, green red oak at $2.75, kiln-dried red oak at $4.50, green white oak at $4.00 and kiln-dried white oak at $7.00. The mill is one arm of a family-owned, chemical-free produce farm that also runs a CSA and sells live-edge furniture, balms and salves, and farm tours. It buys logs delivered rather than standing timber, cuts 4/4, 5/4 and custom sizes in cedar, red oak and white oak, and ships only on orders over 1,000 board feet. Open Sunday through Friday and closed Saturday, which is the reverse of most yards.
